"Meteorite Sikhote Alin in Levitation” - Rare Scientific Set From 1947.

SIKHOTE ALIN ferruginous meteorite (Siberia 1947). Presented on a rosewood and wrought iron installation, attracted by a magnet which allows the levitation of the stone. 4 cm long meteorite.

PROVENANCE: GERARD TIRY COLLECTION. Author of the "cabinet of curiosities", Gérard Tiry, who died in September 2016, was a lawyer and also an adventurer explorer of antipodes and spirit. He would have collected treasures and memories of an insatiable life.

The cabinet of curiosities of Lille was sold at auction in March 2017 by Maître Rouillac. Fifty pieces were donated to the Museum of Natural History in Lille.
